The AP&T mechanical double sheet control measures the thickness of the sheet with a digital linear cylinder. The pneumatic cylinder also moves the finger which measures the sheet thickness. The control process is totally safe and very quick, thanks to the special safety software. The measurement typically requires only 0.5 seconds with some variation depending on the application. The setting is done from the HMI and the parameter is stored in the recipe.
